Introduced to Valais in the 19th century, Marsanne has its roots in the Côtes-du-Rhône, more particularly the Tain l’Hermitage region, hence its Valais name of Hermitage.
Vigorous, late grape variety, developing its full potential in arid, not very fertile lands.
It is a wine with a rich, strong character offering aromas of marzipan.
Notes of flowery wood, very pleasant.
Fresh, tight and dry. Fleshy palate, marzipan, butter.
During your aperitifs and goes very well with shellfish, fish, seafood, and poultry.
Old cheeses (bleu d´auvergne …).
Between 12 and 14°.
